TrueNorth Psychiatry — Psychiatric Evaluation & Medication Management
Care that listens. Treatment for the whole person.
Holistic, medically informed psychiatric care that looks beyond symptoms and honors your complete story — from one clinician who knows your history.
The things that are hardest to say out loud.
If what you're carrying isn't on this list, it's still worth a call. The intro consult is fifteen minutes and costs nothing.
Care built around the person, not the chart.
It is much more important to know what sort of a patient has a disease than what sort of a disease a patient has.
Treat the person, not simply the diagnosis.
The goal isn't more medication. It's the right treatment, for the right reason, for the right amount of time.
Treatment is not one-size-fits-all. Care is individualized to your symptoms, history, preferences, and goals, with an emphasis on thoughtful prescribing, ongoing monitoring, and shared decision-making.
Three steps, and you'll know the cost before the first one.
A free intro consult

Adjust and follow through
Regular follow-ups to fine-tune what's working, plus direct coordination with your therapist or primary care provider.

Maya Ceranic, PMHNP-BC
I believe good psychiatric care starts with understanding the person—not simply treating a diagnosis or prescribing another medication.
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, substance use disorders, and other mental health concerns. I also specialize in addiction medicine and medication-assisted treatment (MAT), supporting individuals at different stages of recovery.
My approach to medication is thoughtful and individualized. More medication is not always better. For some patients, the right treatment means starting or optimizing medication. For others, it may mean simplifying an overly complicated regimen, reducing unnecessary medications, or safely tapering and deprescribing when clinically appropriate.
I want to understand the bigger picture—your symptoms, experiences, lifestyle, stressors, physical health, substance use, previous treatments, and what may be contributing to how you feel. Rather than simply treating symptoms, my goal is to help identify underlying factors and create a treatment plan that makes sense for you.
You deserve to feel heard, respected, and involved in decisions about your care. Together, we will work toward meaningful symptom relief, greater stability, and a treatment plan you can feel confident about.

Answers before you call.
Sixty to ninety minutes on your history, symptoms, sleep, prior treatment, and what you want to be different. You leave with a written plan — which may or may not include medication — and a clear next step.
Yes, when clinically appropriate. Stimulant prescribing follows standard monitoring protocols and state guidelines, which we walk through together before anything starts.
Yes — individual therapy is available alongside medication management, with one clinician handling both rather than splitting your care across two separate providers. If you already have a therapist you'd rather keep seeing, we coordinate directly with them instead.
New patient evaluations are typically scheduled within two weeks. Urgent situations are prioritized — call the office directly rather than using the form.
